Within the frames of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2799” program of events the innovative exhibition “Smart Yerevan” was held. At the exhibition talented children from Yerevan and different provinces of Armenia had the possibility to present their ideas. At the exhibition arranged in the are of cascade complex were displayed robots designed and programmed by the children within the frames of the education project of “Armat” engineering lab which works out and support robotics. 3D models, computer games, virtual glasses and other innovative solutions designed by children were presented at the exhibition.
it should be noted that as a result of development of information and telecommunication technologies during the recent years a number of successful projects were fulfilled which in its turn makes us believe that Yerevan can become one of the leading cities in this direction. Taking into account this circumstance, at the initiative of Yerevan Mayor the commission was formed for working out and realization of “Yerevan-smart city” project the aim of which is to provide more effective management of various spheres of urban economy and development of the city infrastructures, in other words-to make Yerevan one of the smarts cities of the world.
Young innovators stressed that they are encouraged with “Yerevan-smart city” initiative and expressed hole that in the future their ideas can contribute to the realization of the project. The items presented at “Smart Yerevan” exhibition surprised the specialists and guests of the capital showing Yerevan from innovative side.
