Yerevan Municipality jointly with “RepatArmenia” foundation for the third time have organized “Yerevan Half Marathon” the main aim of which is popularization of healthy lifestyle, development of sport tourism and strengthening of the ties of Armenian of Diaspora with homeland.

“Yerevan Half Marathon” started in St,Shahumyan square. It consisted of 4 distances: 21.1 km for runners aged 18+, 10 km for participants agеd 16+, 5 km for the runners aged 13+ and 1 km distance for children from 7 to 12. Runners with disabilities took part in 5-km distance race. About 2000 runners from 33 countries took part in the marathon. The three runners come first got money prizes, all the participants got memory medals and T-shirts.
It should be noted that the distance was measured by the Association of International Marathons and Distant Races (AIMS) and has the international status. The chief sponsor of the half marathon is “Coca-Cola”, in the realization of the project support was shown by “Converse bank”, “Barry” company, “ShopIn”, “TriClub Yerevan” and clubs of runners of Armenia.
