About 8000 trash bins are necessary for proper organization of the process of trash removal. In accordance with the surveys, today there are about 5000 trash bins in the capital. During the regular working meeting Mayor Hayk Marutyan instructed “Sanitek” company to provide the proper number of trash bins.
The process of creation of online system for presenting citizens’ projects is going on. The Mayor was reported that “Active citizen” online platform will serve not only for realization of this initiative but also for permanent feedback with citizens, for carrying out pubic surveys of local significance.
“This is what we need. First we will launch the program we have initiated and then we will use it as a platform for permanent feedback with townspeople”, said Hayk Marutyan.
This year a new park will be laid instead of the cafes in the area of the opera house. About 1 hectare of green zones will be restored-with new solutions, precious sorts of trees. Mayor Marutyan instructed to announce an open competition for the program involving townspeople in this project. To ensure citizens’ security it was instructed to inventory the doors of the entrances of blocks of flats. It was offered to provide installation of doors with coded locks in teamwork with condominiums and citizens.
“This is the common property of residents and the Municipality must carry out explanatory activities so as the residents in teamwork with condominiums install those locks”, said the mayor.
Referring to the cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and the RA Police, Mayor Marutyan expressed satisfaction with the effective teamwork and stressed the results of the cooperation are gradually becoming visible in the capital. Within the scope of “Clean Yerevan” program a citywide clean-up will be announced for March 23. It was instructed to carry out activities to ensure proper organization of the process.
