The representative of the official delegations arrived in Yerevan at the behest of Mayor Taron Margaryan to take part in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2799” celebration, were present at the solemn reception held in the City Hall.
In his greeting speech Mayor Taron Margaryan thanked those present for sharing the joy of the City Day together with Yerevanians. The Mayor also outlined that their presence is a very important expression of their respect and trust for Yerevan.
“It was highly delightful for me to hear the sincere regards and appreciation concerning dynamical development of Yerevan during the meetings with you. Actually, 2799-year-old Yerevan is a proportionally developing city and it is the result of multilateral cooperation of our capital with more than 50 cities worldwide and 10 international organizations. And the most important aspect is that within the frames of this friendly and business interaction the tendencies of expansion are seen which serves for the well-being of our cities and their residents. Rapidly developing world brings about new challenges in the sphere of urban management. In this context, nowadays particular importance is attached to strengthening and expansion of cooperation between cities. We have always stated the readiness of Yerevan Municipality to cooperate and I am sure that due to effective interaction, showing support to one another if necessary, we will be able to overcome many obstacles”, said Taron Margaryan ad taking the opportunity invited the representatives of the delegations to visit Yerevan next year to take part in the events dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation.
After the official part of the festive reception Mayor Taron Margaryan communicated with the members of the delegations arrived in Yerevan who congratulated the Mayor of the City Day.
