Within the frames of cooperation between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg active interaction has been established in the sphere of education.

Within the scope of Saint Petersburg days in Yerevan, the Cooperation Agreement was signed between Yerevan municipal school N122 after A.A.Blok and the state budget educational establishment of the secondary school N235 after D.Shostakovich of Admiralteyski district of Saint Petersburg. The head of Yerevan Municipality General Education Department Gayane Soghomonyan and the deputy chairman of the Education Committee of St Petersburg Alexander Ksenofontov were present at the ceremony of signing.
Stressing the active continuation of the cooperation between the two cities, particularly in the sphere of education Gayane Soghomoyan attached importance to the implementation of joint projects. The guests were impressed with Armenian schoolchildren's excellent knowledge of the Russian language and Russian culture and history.
The Agreement signed between the two cities provides for experience exchange between teachers, organization of on-line education and replenishment of the library fund.
