During the regular working conference Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was reported that with the aim of traffic relief in the capital reconstructions and construction of new road are going on in the administrative districts. In particular, it was reported that the construction of the new road connecting Saralanji street with Tigran Mets avenue and the reconstruction of the former railway overpass into an overground pedestrian crossing are still going on. It was also reported that the road between Arami and Buzand streets had already been put into operation. The road is provided with external lighting, corresponding road signs have been installed, the sewage system has been restored.
Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to submit new proposals of new roads and to take corresponding measures in this direction. «The operation of this road is really important from the point of view of traffic relief in the small center, and in parallel streets the result is already visible. But there are other streets in the capital which will also relieve the traffic after being opened. We have already had such examples:the junction of Alabyan and Abelyan streets in Ajapnyak district, roadwork is going on in the area leading from the 9th to the 8th quarter in Nor Nork. Discuss and submit appropriate offers regarding the reconstructions in other areas», said the Mayor.
Regarding the process of repairing in educational and cultural establishments subordinated to the Municipality it was reported that some organizations had broken the contract and the work hadn't been finished yet. The Mayor instructed to take corresponding measures in this regard. Regarding exclusion of the cases of illegal construction and elimination of its results it was reported that 10 cases had been revealed as a result of carried out inspections and dismantling had been organized regarding the 7 cases revealed previously. The Mayor instructed the heads of the administrative districts to activate the activity of the staff and keep the process under control. Despite the large-scale measures carried out in this field we still have a lot to be done so we have to change the work order. A great deal of work is to be done by the heads and employees of the administrative districts so that we could completely exclude cases of illegal construction and land occupation», said Taron Margaryan.
Regarding the cases of illegal car selling in the streets it was reported that due to the measures carried out jointly with he Road Police, within the last month signs about selling had been removed from 180 cars. Besides it was reported that 19 cases of illegal car parking on the sidewalks and administrative records had been drawn up. The representatives of the staffs of Nor Nork and Ajapnyak districts have been involved in inspections and they carry out inspections in different time of the day watching the quality of public transport services. During the inspections violations were revealed in 130 vehicles and corresponding measures were taken. The Mayor instructed to keep the process at the focus of permanent attention.
The head of the Department of Trade and Services reported that 5 cases of illegal street trade had been revealed and administrative records had been drawn up. Referring to the inspections carried out by the State Food Safety Service of the Ministry of Agriculture it was reported some violations Had been found out and a number of entrepreneurs had been disciplined. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to carry on the work and inform the public about the results.
