The results of the social aid programs for the Armenian families from Syria carried out in the period from January to March of 2017 have been summarized.
During the mentioned period social support was shown to 235 needy families, 26 more families were included in various social programs.
Owing to the cooperation with the benevolent organization “Mission Armenia”, within the last 3 months about 200 Syrian Armenian families got compensations for renting of habitation for up to 15 months with average rent fees of AMD 60.000; 300 families got compensation for utilities (AMD 57 000); 150 families were allotted furniture and other household appliances.
498 children from Syria study at secondary schools of the capital, 122 children of pre-school age attend municipal kindergartens free of charge.
Children from Syrian Armenian families take active part in various cultural events.
Within the last 3 months 417 Armenians from Syria applied to municipal medical establishments where they got free medical aid.
