Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan who is in Artsakh with an official visit together with Stepanakert Mayor Suren Grigoryan and the Chairman of the Union of Artsakh Liberators, major-General Samvel Karapetyan visited “Azatamartiks park” (the park of soldiers-liberators), familiarized themselves with the process of construction of the recreation zone of 2 hectares. The construction of the park is fulfilled within the frames of cooperation program signed between Yerevan and Stepanakert municipalities.

Presenting the detils of the program the persons in charge noted that the design of the park would stand out with unique architectural and landscape solutions, fountain complexes and walkways. Besides, an amphitheater will be built for organization of performances and events. The area of the park will be provided with pedestrian ties from Tumanyan street to the school, the stadium and the square.
Attaching importance to the construction of “Azatamartiks park” the persons in charge expressed gratitude to Yerevan Mayr for the initiative and implementation of the program and outlined that this recreation zone will become another symbol of effective cooperation established between the two Armenian capitals.
Stepanakert Mayor in his turn expressed confidence that the park will become a comfortable recreation zone not only for Stepanakert residents but for the guests of Artsakh capital as well.
