Thematic exhibitions on the event of International Museums Day
Traditonally, on the event of the International Museums Day thematic exhibitions were organized in municipal museums.This year all the exhibitions were organized under the common motto “Museums and contested histories: Saying the unspeakable in museums”.
On the event of Museums Day the historical and archaeological reserve-museum Erebuni presented the exhibition called “ Painful history, Van: the lost capital”.
The exhibition called “Lines of the century” representing the graphic works by three artists from Norway was opened at the Museum of Modern Art.
The exhibition called “Museum samples are telling about the USSR” was held at Karen Demirchyan museum. Documentary films telling bout the Soviet period were shown as well.
It should be noted that on the event of the day admission is free in all municipal museums.
