Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the representatives of the Armenian General Gymnastic Union. Greeting the guests the Mayor attached particular importance to the activities organized by the union among the young and noted that it gives the opportunity to bring up a patriotic, responsible and intelligent generation.
“Yerevan Municipality is has always supported implementation of all initiatives aimed at spiritual and physical education of the young people of Yerevan and realization of new ideas. I know that this July the 10th sport games of the Armenian General Gymnastic Union take place in Yerevan and about 1000 sportsmen from various countries are going to take part in it. Greeting the organization and holding of the sport games in Yerevan I’d like to note that we attach importance to similar initiatives which are aimed at the development of healthy society. Be sure that within our powers we will show overall assistance to the union in the issue of proper organization and holding of the games”, said Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the chairman of the central department of the AGGU Garnik Mkrtichyan first of all congratulated Mayor Taron Margaryan on winning in the elections for Yerevan Council of Elders. Appreciating the consistence of Yerevan Mayor in the implementation of the initiatives of the union Garnik Mkrtichyan noted that it makes it possible to activate the activity of the union in Yerevan and organization of various events.
“Mister Mayor, it’s really pleasure to have a reliable partner next to you who always assist in the implementation of all initiatives aimed at upbringing of patriotic and responsible generation. We also attach importance to the fact that our union is a member of the Youth Council attached to Yerevan Mayor. It is one more proof that Yerevan Municipality attaches real importance to the potential of the youth”, said Garnik Mkrtichyan.
During the meeting the representatives of the AGGU presented Mayor Taron Margaryan the details related to the 10th sport games assuring that they will provide high sport and festive mood in Yerevan.
