Today the reporting and election conference of the Armenian Chess Federation took place in the Chess House after Tigran Petrosyan. The conference was chaired by the Chairman of Armenian Chess Federation, the RA President Serzh Sargsyan.
Before starting the issues of the agenda the delegates of the conference kept a minute of silence in memory of their colleagues from the federation-Ashot Anastasyan, Gagik Hovhannisyan, Stepan Avagyan, Armen Nikoghosyan, Edward Mnatsakanyan, Robert Buniatyan and Armen Harutyunyan who passed away during the recent four years.
The conference summarized the work done in the reported period –from 2013 till 2017, outlined the further plans. The report of the supervision commission of the federation was presented within the frames of the agenda. The first Deputy Chairman of the federation Smbat Lputyan presented the work done. The activities carried out by the federation during the reported period got positive estimates.
Afterwards the election of the chairman and the presidium of the federation were held. The RA President Serzh Sargsyan was unanimously re-elected chairman of the Armenian Chess Federation. According to the Regulations of the Federation, the presidium confirmed the candidates for the deputy chairmen, for executive manager, for secretary general who are included in the staff of the Board. The first Deputy Chairman became Smbat Lputyan, the deputies are Yerevan Mayor, the head of Yerevan Chess Federation Taron Margaryan and Levon Yolyan. Hrachik Tavadyan was elected executive director, Mikael Andriasyan was elected secretary general. Vanik Zakaryan became the Honorary President of Armenian Chess Federation.
The Chairman of Armenian Chess Federation, the RA President Serzh Sargsyan on behalf of the federation awarded the distinguished veterans of the federation Yuri Arustamyan and Alyosha Khachatryan with the Golden medal after Tigran Petrosyan.
