The issues concerning the prevention of illegal construction and open-air trade were discussed within the frames of the working conference convened by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan in which the employees of the Department of Urban Development and Land Control, as well as of the service of public order protection participated.

Referring to the problem of prevention of illegal construction Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to keep tight control over the process and apply strict disciplinary punishment determined by law towards any revealed case. “In this issue our position will always be firm and intolerant as the Municipality has simplified the procedure of getting construction permissions as much as possible. And from this point of view each of you mustn’t put up with any illegality. By the way, prevention does not mean just to go and demolish the unfinished construction. Work with the residents and inform them that besides demolition of the illegal construction a resident is subjected to financial penalties while one can avoid all this if follows the order established by law”, stressed Taron Margaryan
Taking into account the circumstance that illegal open-air trade has become more active because of favourable weather conditions the Mayor instructed the employees of public order service to work more systematically to prevent and exclude such cases.
