Today “Zhamanak” daily newspaper again spread wrong information about the tender for procurement of 500 elevators announced by the Municipality. According to the newspaper, the Municipality of Yerevan declared null and void the competition for procurement of elevators in which the company related to Samvel Alexanyan was recognized winner and was to import elevators from Turkey. According to the same disinformation, a company from Belarus was recognized winner of the newly-announced competition.

The reality is as follows:

The procedure of procurement of elevators announced by the Municipality of Yerevan has never been declared null and void. In accordance with the procedure determined by law, the Municipality of Yerevan announced about the open competition for procurement of 500 elevators (together with installation and maintenance) on 02.04.2020. The procedure opening took place in 13.05.2020 and 5 companies took part in it. The applications submitted by the companies are in the process of assessment.

We’d like to urge the “Zhamanak” daily staff to stop spreading disinformation.

The announced competitions are processed in accordance with the legislation and such action can’t have any influence on the results of the procedure.
