Minibus



The route network of the capital is oversaturated by microbus routes: serious difficulties are created for traffic management under conditions of low traffic capacity of the road network and transportation stop areas, so decrease of the number of microbuses and their change by buses of small and medium capacity has no alternatives in the sphere of passenger traffic.
For improvement of the situation in the public transportation sector of the city of Yerevan a new route network has been developed and soon will be approved, according to which the number of microbuses will be reduced from the currently existing 2600 to 650 by the year 2010; instead, the number of buses of large capacity will be substantially increased.
