Results of citywide tree planting and clean-up action have been summarized
The employees of Yerevan Municipality and administrative districts staffs, members of the Council of Elders, establishments subordinated to Yerevan Municipality, employees of state and private organizations,students, representatives of NGOs and residents took part in the citywide tree planting anf clean-up action.
Totally 10000 trees were planted during the action. By the end of the autumn tre planting scheduled for November 20 it is planned to plant 5000 trees more. Saitary cleaning was carried out in all administrative districts. Yard areas, parks and squares, as well as surroundings of public buildings were brought to order. All the participants of the action were provided with gloves, showels, garbage bags and other necessary appliances.
According to the Department of Communal Services Department of Yerevan Municipality 75 units of machinery was used during the clean-up action and 310 tons of garbage was collected.
