Photo exhibition “Yerevan, the capital of three republics” has opened in Beirut

The photo exhibition “Yerevan, the capital of three republics” has opened in the capital of Lebanon, Beirut on the event of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation.Nearly 100 photos representing Yerevan in the late 19th century and early 20th century, during the Soviet period and today’s Yerevan. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Lebanon Samvel Mkrtchyan, representatives of the Armenian community of Lebanon, participants of international symposium dedicated to the Centennial of the First Armenian Republic were present at the opening ceremony.
The director of Yerevan History Museum Armine Sargsyan noted that the photo exhibition gives a unique opportunity to familiarize oneself with Yerevan.
The exhibition “Yerevan the capital of three republics is open till March 31.
It should be noted that with the assistance of Yerevan Municipality, Yerevan History Museum and “Erebuni” historical and archaeological reserve-museum plan to organize touring photo exhibitions dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation in other cities with numerous Armenian communities, in the capital of Artsakh-Stepanakert and in the provinces of Armenia.
