Before turning to the issues on the agenda during the working meeting in Yerevan City Hall, Mayor Hayk Marutyan presented the working principles which are to be followed by the Municipality staff.
“Yerevan is a city with its everyday problems and every day we come to work to find solutions to them. We have no right to neglect these problems, such a working style is unacceptable. We must reveal the problems and defects ourselves and settle them appropriately before the citizens voice these problems. This way the townspeople will understand that we do our work every day. Each citizen applied to us must be given a complete answer: first it must be found out whether the problem is within the Municipality powers, and to suggest variants of solutions afterwards”, said the Mayor and added that any issue related to the city economy can be settled if everyone consistently does his/her duties.
“Consequently, I expect that each employee carrying on the work in our team must clearly realize that he/she takes the whole responsibility for the work done. We will serve the residents of Yerevan and we are accountable for everything first of all before them. I have made my decision and during the coming 5 years I will be serving our city and its residents. For 5 years I will be keeping the rules in accordance with which everyone is to work. For 5 years I will be keeping a watchful eye so that everyone will meet the requirements. I will be 100% honest with our residents. And if you are ready to work in accordance with the new rules then you are required to do the same”, said Mayor Hayk Marutyan.
Referring to the items on the agenda, the persons in charge for the spheres of life support and urban economy reported to Mayor Hayk Marutyan on the problems requiring urgent solution.
Concerning to the improvement of public property, roofs and entrances of flocks of flats, streets provide for by Yerevan Municipality program for 2018, as well as renovation of damaged balconies, overhauling of yard areas and playgrounds it was reported that all the activities are going on in accordance with the determined schedule.
The acting head of the Department of Communal Services informed that in parallel with the current programs preparations for winter had already been started. At the end of the working meeting Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan reported that the program of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2800” celebrations had been specified. Numerous entertaining events provided for October 21 will be completed with the gala-concert in Republic square.
Mayor Hayk Marutyan assigned the corresponding departments of the Municipality, the heads of administrative districts and heads of municipal establishments to carry on everyday activities in all directions and informed that in a few days they will discuss all the issues requiring urgent settlement in this or that sphere.
