The 15th jubilee conference of the Club of Strasbourg partner cities ''Strasbourg Club'' was held in Strasbourg (France) from 7 to 10 of November. Deputy head of Yerevan Municpality Department of Foreign Relations Mikael Sahakyan took part in the conference. It should be noted that nearly 60 cities of different countries are members of ''Strasbourg Club''. During the conference representatives of more than 30 cities of 20 countries were discussing the challenges which different spheres of urban economy face and suggesting corresponding solutions. The action plan of ''Green city'' program and ''Smart city'' program were presented as well. Particular attention was paid to the problems of refugees. Presenting the programs of assistance for Armenian families from Syria carried out in Yerevan during the recent years,as wel as the action plan of ''Green city'' program Mikael Sahakyan stressed that Yerevan Municipality attaches importance to contunuity of the programs in the mentioned above directions.
Outlining the importance of of holding the conference Mikael Shakayan expressed gratitude to the Mayor of Strasbourg Roland Ries for the invitation. Strasbourg Mayor in his turn conveyed his greetings to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
The deputy head of Yerevan Municipality Foreign Relations Department also thanked the president of ''Strasboug Club'', Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg Nawel Rafik-Elmrini for many-year cooperation and on beahlf of Yerevan Mayor invited her to visit the capital of Armenia. Nawel Rafik-Elmrini expressed gratitude for active participation in the club activity and promised to visit Yerevan.
