Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan met with the directors of the municipal policlinics and medical centres. The Mayor stressed the importance of providing high-quality medical services and caring attitude.

In 2019, the budget disbursed for purchasing of medical equipment for municipal medical establishments was doubled and that is an unprecedented rate. This year, instead of AMD 70 million, AMD 146 million was disbursed, and additional 150 million drams was allotted for renovation of medical establishments. On the Mayor’s instruction, 90 million drams will be disbursed for the renovation of Ambulance substations.
“There is one question each of us must answer: are we ready to work hard, to do our best to reach high results in 5-10 years? If we are ready, we will get the result, and if we go on working in the same pace we might fail. I expect such attitude from you, otherwise this sector won’t develop. I also demand that the people who are not ready to do this hard work inform us about it beforehand”, said the Mayor.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Sergey Harutyunyan noted that due to everyday teamwork with municipal medical establishments many problems had already got effective solution.
“The main value for us and our policy is the citizen. Each citizen visiting medical establishment turn to you for a professional aid. We won’t create an impression that we only demand, actually we are ready to hear out any constructive proposal, to build effective relationship and to hear out your problems. Everything must be fair and with the consideration of citizens’ interest”, stressed the Deputy Mayor.
Highly appreciating doctors’ willingness, the Mayor expressed gratitude for their important mission. Hayk Marutyan once again stressed that within its powers the Municipality will do everything possible to make systematic improvements in the sphere of health care.
