Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Armenia (residence in Moscow) H.E. Luis Benjamin. The Ambassador arrived in Yerevan on the event of opening the office of Peru Honorary Consul in Armenia.

Greeting the guest Mayor Marutyan expressed hope that the opening of the Republic of Peru representation in Yerevan will promote cooperation between the cities of the two countries.
Ambassador Benjamin in his turn marked that the countries have a wide sphere for cooperation. The parties discussed the issues of mutual interest, particularly the perspectives of development of cultural and economic ties through friendly relationship establishment between Yerevan and the cities of Peru.
