Memorial evening dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Spitak earthquake
30 years of years of terrible memories have passed since the destructive earthquake of Spitak. The memorial event organized at Irina Rodnina Figure Skating School was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Spitak earthquake. Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Virabyan, the acting Minister of Culture of the RA Lilit Makunts, the representatives of the municipalities of Gyumri, Vanadzor and Spitak, numerous guests were present at the event. At the event called “For you, Armenia” the figure skaters performed the disastrous earthquake which changed the fate of thousands of people. The generation which didn’t witness the earthquake felt the whole awe of the disaster to the music work created by Charles Aznavour. According to the organizers, the aim of the ice show was to commemorate the victims of the innocent victims and to stress that life must go on in any situation.
