Mayor Taron Margaryan meets with Ambassador of Bulgaria to RA

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary ad Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Armenia Maria Pavlova Tzotzorkova-Kaymakchieva. Greeting the Ambassador the Mayor attached importance to the friendly ties established between Yerevan and Sofia since 2008 and to the development and expansion of the cooperation. Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed willingness to assist the Bulgarian Embassy and stimulation of joint programs within the powers of Yerevan Municipality.

“We expect that in nearest future our cooperation will get a ne stage and the result will be more noticeable. I am also sure, Madam Mayor, that you will take an active part in this matter”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome to the Mayor of Yerevan, Ambassador Maria Pavlova Tzotzorkova-Kaymakchieva in her turn said that the cooperation with Yerevan municipality is effective indeed particularly outlining the sphere of education within the frames of which active cooperation with Yerevan school N131 after Peyo Yavorov was established. It was also mentioned that with the assistance of the President and Government of Bulgaria the completely renovated an equipped interactive classroom will be opened in the school soon.
“Mister Mayor let me express gratitude for your permanent assistance and willingness. Our countries have much in common which can provide ne results of cooperation”, said the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Armenia.
During the meeting the possibilities of realization of joint programs in other spheres and steps aimed at the activation of cooperation were discussed as well. At the end of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan outlined that he would be glad to welcome the Mayor of Sofia this year particularly taking into account that Yerevan is celebrating the 2800th anniversary of its foundation.
