Kamo Areyan watches the activities being carried out in Erebuni district
The First Deputy Mayor, acting Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan accompanied by the head of Erebuni administrative district, the representatives of the UN Development Program and persons in charge of the Municipality visited the children and youth creation center in Erebuni district where the overhauling activities had come to the final stage.
The renovation of the cultural center built in the 1960s was started in August,2017 within the frames of the program of development of the UNO and Yerevan Municipality. Corresponding instructions were given on the spot.
It should be noted that the overhauling of the children and youth creation center of Erebuni is one more example of cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and the UNDP which is based on energy saving and thermo-insulation aspects. As a result of modernization of the heating system condensation boilers were installed due to which the utility costs of the building will be reduced by 60%. Another similar program was implemented in the kindergarten N160 at the end of the previous year.
Kmo Areyan also visited the building site of the recreation zone located Erebuni museum. This zone is financed by the Badalyans family and is a special present of the family on the event of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan’s foundation. Within the framework of this program the amphitheater has already been constructed, the systems working on solar energy have been installed to provide night lighting and energy supply of the park in general. It should be noted that in accordance with the Maecenas wish, there will be no commercial activity in the park. Benches, bowers and children’s playgrounds will be installed in the area of the park and 70% of it will be landscaped and put into green zones.
