At the beginning of the working meeting Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan introduced the newly-appointed advisors to the Mayor Vano Vardanyan and Kamo Areyan, the head of Ajapnyak district Gevorg Babayan, as well as the Mayor’s Press Secretary Hakob Karapetyan. Regarding the activities being fulfilled in the capital within the frames of international loan programs the Mayor was reported that they are going in accordance with the schedule. In particular, the construction is going on in Davtashen-Ashtarak and Babajanyan-Ashtarak segments of the by-pass road of Yerevan which is financed by the Asian Development Bank. The construction of Davtashen-Ashtarak road segment has reached the final stage and in case of favourable weather conditions the segment will be put into operation at the end of the year. It was also reported that the competition for the program of external lighting network modernization is being summarized.

Referring to the cases of building wastes dumping in inappropriate places Mayor Hayk Marutyan assigned the persons in charge to increase the level of public awareness and to direct the drivers of the trucks removing building wastes to the dump provided for it.
The current repairing of public property, roofs and entrances of blocks of flats, reconstruction of damaged balconies provided for by the Municipality program for 2019 are going on in accordance with the determined schedule. Referring to the problem of damaged balconies Mayor’s Advisor Kamo Areyan reminded that as a part of share property the balconies are to be repaired by the owners of those flats, but as an expression of good will, Yerevan Council of Elders every year disburses finances to fulfil this program. However, there are cases when the resident refuses or doesn’t permit to fulfil the renovation thus endangering other residents and passers-by. In this regard Mayor Hayk Marutyan instructed the persons in charge to undertake explanatory activities together with condominiums and remind them that his function is beyond the Municipality obligations therefore the whole responsibility will be put on the owners.
Hayk Marutyan also referred to the problems of urban transport service he once again set a task before the companies engaged in passenger transportation to keep a watchful eye over proper working look of drivers, to exclude their smoking while driving and to ensure proper condition of the rolling stock.
As regards winter preparations the Mayor instructed “Water constructions” company to carry out technical maintenance of all drinking water fountains, basins and other water constructions of the capital to get ready for their conservation.
