During the working meeting in the City Hall which was chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan the head of tourism unit reported that taking into account the process of rebranding of the tourist buses of “Yerevan City Tour” this year the new season of this program is starting on May 15.
Regarding the process of installation of tourists information support desks in Yerevan it was reported that in the junction of Nalbandyan and Melik-Adamyan streets corresponding construction was started and the first desk will be installed in a few days. On the event of the International Day of Monuments and Sites Preservation on April 18 the activities of washing and cleaning up the monuments of the capital and inventory of QR-codes were started. The head of tourism unit Gevorg Orbelyan reported that of the inventoried 120 monuments 37 ones have corresponding boards and in near future the rest ones will be provided with appropriate boards with QR-codes in teamwork with the private sector. At the same time it was reported that the website monuments.yerevan.am connected with QR-code boards was re-operated in the preliminary version. During the meeting it was also reported that to fulfil the instruction of Yerevan Mayor, preparations for the events to be organized in Victory park on the event of the Victory Day on May 9 to ensure proper holding were completed.
