The meeting with the representative of the International Association of French-speaking Mayors Arianna Ardesi, the representative of the association “International Center for Earth Architecture conservation” (CRAterre) Bakonirina Rakotomamonji and the Professor of the National School of Architecture of Lyon and the researcher of EVS-LAURE laboratory Suzanne Monnot was held in the City Hall of Yerevan. The head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Foreign Relations David Gevorgyan and the head of Culture Department Ruben Hovhannisyan also took part in the meeting. The discussions related to the financial and technical assistance in preservation and restoration of the historical site of Erebuni were continued during the meeting. The meeting also included the issue of starting the activities within the scope of “Financial and technical assistance in the implementation of the work” agreement signed between Yerevan Municipality and the mentioned-above associations. It should be noted that Yerevan has been the member of the International Association of French-speaking Mayors (AIMF) since 1998 and within this coarse numerous cooperation programs have been and are being implemented, one of which is the program of “Financial and technical assistance in preservation and restoration of the historical site of Erebuni”. Thus, it is planned to install the technology of raw brick production and to use it in the restoration of Erebuni citadel as well as to increase touristic attractiveness of the historical site to boost tourism in general.
