The results of the city stage of the 9th Chess Olympiad among schoolchildren were summarized in the foyer of the City Hall of Yerevan. The Mayor of Yerevan, the president of the Yerevan Chess Federation Taron Margaryan, the vice president of the Chess Federation of Armenia Smbat Lputyan and the member of the central department of the Armenian General Benevolent Union Vazgen Yagubyan. The first line place was occupied by the team of the Yerevan basic school N 55, the second and third place were correspondingly occupied by the team of the high school N 119 and basic school N 51. The winners were handed gold medals and cups by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.

Honorary diplomas of the Mayor of Yerevan were given to the schools won in the district stage of the Chess Olympiad among schoolchildren.
The participants were also handed prizes by the vice president of the Chess Federation of Armenia Smbat Lputyan and by the member of the AGBU Vazgen Yagubyan. 216 educational establishments took part in the district stage of the Olympiad, 16 of them got the right to take part in the city stage.
