Yerevan budget performance for 2023 makes up unprecedented 90%

At the meeting held on March 12, Yerevan Council of Elders discussed and confirmed the reports on the development program and budget of 2023.
In 2023, 87 “MAN” buses and 150 “Zhong Tong” buses were put into operation, 15 “YUTONG” trolleybuses and 4 new trash trucks were purchased as well. The process will be continued this year. Within the frames of the unified ticket system installation public transport vehicles and the underground were equipped with validators and electronic and paper QR code has been put into operation.
In 2023, 510 elevators were replaced with new ones in blocks of flats; renovation was fulfilled in 22 educational, sport and culture establishments. More than 200 yard areas, 3 medical establishments were renovated and well-arranged as well. 9 elevators for wheelchairs were installed at underground passages. Large-scale activities were carried out in irrigation network installation, expansion of green areas, construction of sewage system and in some other fields of urban economy.

In 2023, revenues of 44,355,960.2 thousand drams were planned, and the factual performance made up 50,091,031.3 thousand drams or 113%. The factual revenue collection rate has increased the rate of 2022 by 14,694,519,9 thousand drams.

Yerevan Council also set the fares for intracity regular bus transportation which are 100 % served by the municipal operator. The unified ticket system project provides for:
8800 drams for 30-day unlimited transportation,
23600 drams for 90-day unlimited transportation,
 88000 drams for 365-day unlimited transportation. 
Purchase of any package will make it possible for passengers to make use of all transportation means. A number of tariff plans will be available as well.
 Students, social and special groups of the population will have discounts as well.
The goal of the project is to carry on subsidiary of the sphere within a certain logic and not to have inappropriate expenses at the cost of other spheres. It will become possible to eliminate existing negative shadowing phenomena by obtaining more accurate data for more informed decision-making in the future.

Another issue of the agenda related to giving privileges in property tax for the constructions of residential significance and transport means owned by some groups of residents. The groups involve 1635 citizens 533 of which are disabled of 1st and 2nd groups of Artsakh and Armenian wars, 1102 are members of the families of missing, dead or considered dead people.
