The process of replacing old elevators in the blocks of flats with new ones is going on in the capital. The overall number of elevators to be installed this year is 500. New elevators are equipped with safety systems, are adjusted to people with disabilities. The addresses where elevators are replaced are chosen in accordance with priority, considering the most vulnerable elevators and the frequency of alarm calls received.
Within the frames of the program started in 2019, 1551 new elevators have been installed so far. The program will continue till there are no elevators that need replacing.
