Within the frames of the official visit to Artsakh Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the President of Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan.
Taking the opportunity Artsakh President congratulated Taron Margaryan on his re-election in Yerevan Mayor’s office and expressed satisfaction with the results of cooperation between Yerevan and Stepanakert stressing that Yerevan Municipality plays its special and important role in Artsakh life and the Armenians of Artsakh highly appreciate it. Outlining the importance of tight cooperation of administrative districts of Yerevan with the districts of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan expressed hope that it will get the level of cooperation between Yerevan and Stepanakert.
“The programs aimed at strengthening of relationship with Artsakh are at the focus of your permanent attention and it really worth appreciation. The tight cooperation between Yerevan and Stepanakert is visible and numerous programs are fulfilled within its frames. I hope that with the same enthusiasm will cooperate the administrative districts of Yerevan and districts of Artsakh. Be sure that the interaction with Yerevan is highly appreciated in Artsakh and I am sure that you and your team will go on contributing to the development and flourishing of Artsakh”, said Bako Sahakyan.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome and congratulations Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan in his turn congratulated Bako Sahakyan on his election with the majority of votes in Artsakh Parliament on the post of the leader of the country and wished him strong health and success for the sake of Artsakh and it residents.
Yerevan Mayor briefly presented the process of implementation of the programs in various spheres of urban economy within the frames of agreement signed between Yerevan and Stepanakert. he also assured that the activities will be carried on in all directions.
“Mister Mayor, be sure that we attach particular importance to strengthening and expanding the cooperation with Artsakh and as you have already noted these relations are developing quite successfully. All our programs will be long-term, moreover, the large-scale projects and initiatives promoting dynamic development of Artsakh will be at the focus of our particular attention”, stressed Taron Margaryan and assured that the persons in charge will go on doing their best for the development, progress and prosperity of the two Armenian republics.
