During the weekly working meeting in the City Hall which was chaired by the First Deputy Mayor, acting Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan, it was reported that 13 cases of illegal construction and land occupation had been revealed the previous week. Appropriate measures were taken in this regard. The heads of administrative districts of the capital and corresponding services were instructed to strengthen the control over revelation and prevention of such cases, to take all necessary measures envisaged by law and to send the cases to the RA Prosecutor’s Office if necessary.
During the meeting it was reported that the second stage reconstruction of the park adjacent to Main Avenue and the renovation of the children and youth creativity center in Erebuni district had come to the final stage. The renovation is fulfilled within the frames of the program of development of the UNO and Yerevan Municipality. The reconstruction and improvement of the park after Komitas is also going on within the frames of Yerevan Municipality program envisaged for 2018. Referring to the mentioned programs Kamo Areyan instructed to activate the work and to settle the problem of irrigation of the area.
Concerning organization of summer holidays of children from needy families residing in Yerevan it was reported that this three-stage program had been over and within its frames totally 1216 children spent their rest in the sport and health resorts of the country.
Prior to the academic year of 2018-2019 corresponding departments of Yerevan Municipality and the heads of administrative districts were assigned by Kamo Areyan to carry out appropriate preparations in all educational establishments of the capital, in particular to check out the systems of energy, gas and water supply. It was instructed to provide free textbooks for all pupils of elementary school subordinated to Yerevan Municipality and to replenish the first aid rooms in schools with necessary medical materials. The Department of Transport was instructed to make appropriate road marking in the areas adjacent to schools in teamwork with the Road police. taking into account the overload of traffic at the beginning of the school year it was instructed to take measures to ensure regular work of public transport.
