Mayor Taron Margaryan marks the Holy Easter with townspeople
To celebrate the Glorious Resurrection of Christ, or Holy Easter Feast with townspeople Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Saint Sargis church in Nor Nork administrative district. Accompanied by the RA NA deputy Robert Sargsyan and the head of the administrative districts Armen Ulikhanyan, Mayor Taron Margaryan approached the ritual tables laid in the churchyard and wished those present a Happy Easter. Inside the church the Mayor watched the Divine Liturgy and lit candles.
Then Taron Margaryan visited Holy Mother of God church in Avan district. The event organized in the churchyard started with the prayer and blessing ceremony after which the Mayor wished those present a Happy Easter. Yerevan Mayor accompanied by the head of Avan district Manvel Javadyan visited the area of ruined Surb Tsiranavor church in Avan. It should be noted that though the church if half-ruined all church holidays are celebrated here. The performances of folk songs and dances made the day more joyful.
