Within the frames of ‘Erebuni-Yerevan 2799” celebration the concert called “Yerevan-city of love” was held in the area of “Cascade” complex. In his greeting speech addressed to townspeople, the members of official delegations and guests of the capital Yerevan Mayor in particular said:
“Today the capital of all Armenians is celebrating its 2799th anniversary. We are celebrating the event under the slogan “Yerevan-city of love” as Yerevan is always full of love, warmth and mutual respect. Thanks to this love, mutual respect and warmth Yerevan is becoming more and more confident and comes up before us and the world strengthening its place and role among dynamically developing capitals. And these are not merely words said on the event of the City Day. Today Yerevan is recognized in the world as a safe, comfortable, proportionally developing, warm and kind, hospitable city. It is a fact confirmed by the professional assessment of a number of authoritative organizations assessing all of us that way. Yes, all of us, because each achievement of Yerevan is the result of our coordinated teamwork, our endless devotion and caring attitude to our city. Taking the opportunity I express my deep gratitude to you, dear co-citizens. I am grateful to you for with you trust, hard work and unique ability to love hometown you do our best so that everyone who visits the capital of all Armenians could see, hear, feel and love Yerevan.
Dear co-citizens,
Next year we are celebrating the 2800th jubilee of foundation of our dear capital. Not every generation has the opportunity to mark such a date. But the most important is that we have an excellent possibility to stand before the world and prove once again that Armenia is the homeland of all Armenians of Diaspora and Yerevan is the capital of Armenians worldwide.
I am grateful to you for you caring and loving attitude to Yerevan.
