Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan who is in Marseille with an official visit on the event of the 25th anniversary of signing the Agreement on friendship and Cooperation between Yerevan and Marseille, together with the members of the delegation took part in the reception organized in the RA Consulate. The RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan was present at the event too.
In his greeting speech Taron Margaryan first of all expressed gratitude to the Consul General of RA in Marseille Vardan Sirmakes for organizing the reception, stressing that it is one more good opportunity for meeting and communication with the Armenian community of Marseille.
“Within the frames of this visit a number of events, meetings and discussions have been planned during which new steps for strengthening and expanding the bilateral cooperation which will certainly be successful. And thanks to you I am sure in the further success,as throughout these years the Consulate, the Consul in person and the Armenian community have always assisted in strengthening and expansion of cooperation between the two cities, for which I am sincerely grateful to you.
The year of 2018 will be highly significant for Armenia and particularly for Yerevan. Next year we will be celebrating the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation and taking the opportunity I invite all of you to visit Yerevan next year and to participate in festive events. Yerevan is the big home for Armenians worldwide and be sure that we always wait for you”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
In warm and friendly atmosphere Yerevan Mayor communicated with the representatives of Armenian community, heard out their wishes and proposals. Taron Margaryan once again assured that Yerevan Municipality is ready discuss investment proposals which can contribute to sustainable development and progress of the capital of all Armenians.
