Yerevan Deputy Mayor David Ohanyan handed the prizes to the winners of the annual contest for best New Year decoration. The contest is traditionally announced by Yerevan Municipality and is held on the event of New Year and Christmas holidays.
Expressing gratitude to those present on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, David Ohanyan attached importance to the cooperation with private sector. Deputy Mayor outlined that from year to year the festive decoration of the capital is becoming more and more beautiful and bright due to participants of the contest.
In the nomination “best New Year decoration” and “ Best decorated balcony” won Hovhannes Marutyan. “Tashir Group” and “Yeremyan Projects” companies were also awarded for unique attitude to decoration.
For active participation in the contest as well as for becoming the winner according to on-line voting the staff of the Public Radio of Armenia was awarded too. The second place was given to the basic school N 181.
In the nomination “Best decorated administrative district” the first place was given to Avan administrative district, the second come Shengavit and Malatia-Sebastia, and the third is Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district.
