At the invitation of the Mayor of Yerevan, the English National Ballet is in Yerevan with Akram Khan's legendary ballet performance "Giselle". The two-century history of the most dramatic and mysterious ballet has become a masterpiece of the 21st century due to Akram Khan’s philosophy. There are no bright and flamboyant colors here: the whole canvas is woven from human emotions.
Two days and three performances on the stage of the Opera House. The theater troupe is in Yerevan with its artistic, creative and technical staff of 90 people. About 25 tons of props, decorations, light and sound technical means were brought to Yerevan by air, sea and land specially for the performance. Prior to the performances, a large-scale renovation, re-equipment and special furnishing works were carried out in the theater.
Body language always makes it possible to express emotions and creativity anew. The “Giselle” makes everyone experience this story in their own way.
The tour of the English National Ballet in Yerevan is unique and historic. Yerevan is the 11th capital in the world to host the English ballet group. The cultural project is also important due to its educational significance, presenting only high-quality art to the audience. Akram Khan's “Giselle”, which won the greatest stages of the world, was presented for the first time in the region. Thanks to the project, all proceeds from the sale of tickets will be directed to the next new and ambitious project of the municipality, "Yerevan Ballet Fest 2024", which is scheduled for  June of this year.
