Getting independent audit services to be fulfilled through purchase: Council of Elders of Yerevan to approve a number of draft decisions
During the special meeting convened on November 27, the Council of Elders of Yerevan approved of the draft decision on naming the first blind alley of Baghramyan avenue after the eminent lawyer and the author of the term “Genocide” Raphael Lemkin.
It should be noted that on December 9-11 of this year the 3rd Global Forum “Against Genocide Crime” kicks off is held in Yerevan and its first meeting is going to be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Convention on Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
The members of the Council of Elders also approved of the draft decision on getting an audit company to hold an independent audit of the annual budget of Yerevan for 2018.

The Council of Elders also confirmed the expanded staff list of the Municipality the aim of which is to increase the effectiveness of work of the division of internal audit of Yerevan Municipality. Within the scope of the special meeting they also approved of the draft decision on allotting monthly money compensation to the members of the Council of Elders of Yerevan equal to the minimal salary (AMD 55 thousand).
The next meeting of the Council of Elders is scheduled for December 25.
