To ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the Yerevan Metro, the replacement of outdated rails, originally installed in the 1970s, is currently in progress.
This unprecedented large-scale project, being implemented for the first time in 50 years, marks a significant milestone in the modernization of metro system. It is worth noting that the latest batch of rails was delivered in 2024. Over the past eight months, approximately 170 tons of rails have already been replaced.
