During the regular working conference, before turning to the items on the agenda the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan once again congratulated the women-employees of the Municipality staff on the International Women’s Day.

The head of the Department of Culture and Tourism reported that the festive actions dedicated to March 8 started at the airport “Zvartnots” and were continued in all the administrative districts of the capital. Women were distributed greeting cards and flowers. He also reported that various open-air entertaining programs and concerts were organized as well.

The action of free medical aid “For you, women” started since today. Within the frames of this action free medical check-ups are to be given in 5 directions and surgery can be provided if necessary.

The Mayor of the capital Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to carry out regular visits to medical establishments and to watch the implementation of the action on the spot.

The head of the Department of Nature Protection reported that the preparations for landscaping had been over and the main activities are to be started since April 1. The mayor also instructed to set a special control over the tenders for irrigation systems installation so that the activities were finished as soon as possible.

Concerning the subject Olympiads held in the schools of the capital the head of the Department of General Education reported that the Olympiads had been finished in 15 subjects and after summarizing the results the winners are to be awarded. It was also pointed out that in comparison with the previous year the number of participants increased.
12 cases of illegal construction were revealed last week in the sphere of urban development; in 6 locations the illegal constructions were dismantled. 62 administrative records had been drawn up the previous week for wastes dumping in undetermined places. Mayor Taron Margaryan considered the work done unsatisfactory and instructed the persons in charge and the heads of the administrative districts to be more consistent.

Within the month of February 11.836 applications and letters were received in the staff of the Municipality and the administrative districts. The answers to the letters were sent within determined time. It was also reported that 494 citizens took part in the receptions organized in the Municipality and the staffs of the administrative districts. Many raised issues were given corresponding solutions, 25 ones are being processed.

The head of the CJSC “Technology Management Center of Yerevan” reported that the process of creating of the systems of electronic queues for kindergartens had started. The pilot version of the system will be first installed in 2 kindergartens.

Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to carry out the activities for the operation of drinking water fountains since April 1 and of the fountains of the capital since April 7. The Mayor also instructed to carry out preparations for the tree planting and cleaning up to be held on April 11.

At the end of the conference the head of the administrative district of Nor Nork presented the Mayor of the capital the agreements made during the visit to Gegharkunik marz within the frames of the program of cooperation between Yerevan and the marzes of the RA. It was also reported that a Memorandum of Cooperation had been signed. Taron Margaryan instructed the heads of the administrative districts to go on active cooperation both with marzes and the regions of the NKR.
