During the regular working meeting chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan in the City Hall it was reported that to implement Mayor’s instruction related to the traditional visits of the parents of the servicemen from Yerevan to the frontier military units discussions with the RA MD and relevant structures have already been held.
According to Yerevan Mayor’s Chief Advisor Vano Vardanyan necessary preparations for the organization of the regular visit scheduled for April 27 have been started. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to keep the process of organization under special control so that all the parents who want to visit their sons will be included in the program.
The head of the External Design Department reported that to fulfil Mayor’s instruction green-light boards of pharmacies located in the junctions of the streets in the capital have been dismantled and replaced in teamwork with the RA Road Police. It was also reported that necessary measures are being taken to renew or replace damaged signboards. In particular, as regards about 80 signboards installed by the Municipality the work has already been finished. The activities are going on in relation of the signboards placed by the private entities.
It was also reported that “Veolia Jur” company with the assistance of Yerevan Municipality carries on the process of cleaning up the drainage systems in central and secondary streets. Taking into account the danger of clogs in drainage pipes that can be caused by the strong wind of March 24 the Mayor instructed to examine the systems and to clean them up wherever necessary.
The head of Nature Protection Department reported that sanitary pruning of trees and grass moving are going on in the parks and squares of the capital. Simultaneously, preparations are going on for the citywide tree planting and Saturday clean-up action scheduled for March 31.It was instructed to involve state and private organizations in the activities.
