A number of projects have been implemented in 2024 and 2025 to enhance traffic safety on the Yerevan Metro. 
The railroad switches, which control train movement in sidings, allowing transfers from one track to another, were completely renovated. These critical components, essential for safe operations, had last been replaced approximately 15 to 20 years ago.
Additionally, automatic stop mechanisms were installed before the traffic lights to prevent trains from passing a stop signal in case of emergency situations.
