Over the past two years, 6 billion 300 million drams have been invested in the modernization and re-equipment of the Yerevan Underground.
260 million drams were spent on the major repairs of the escalators at the "Republic Square" station.
The escalators at the "Gortsaranain" station were completely replaced, for which 204 million drams were allocated.
The replacement of the escalators at the "Sasuntsi David" station is still ongoing, with investments amounting to 114 million drams.
The next stage to be fulfilled is the replacement of the escalators at the "Zoravar Andranik" station, for which a tender of 504 million drams has been announced.
Thus, the Yerevan Metro after Karen Demirchyan is undergoing step by step modernization, becoming more convenient and safer for passengers.
