The pupils of Armen Tigranyan music school returned to Yerevan from the month-long tour
The pupils of the municipal music school after Armen Tigranyan returned to Yerevan from the month-long tour to the USA.
The pupils of the music school presented the opera «Anoush» by A. Tigranyan at the stage of the famous Alex-theater in Glendale (California). At the church the children presented the concert-performance «A liturgy to Komitas», and on April 24 they took part in the Holy Mass.
During their visit the delegation of the music school met with the Primate of the West Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Hovnan Derderyan.
«It was a special event in the life of the Armenian community of America. For the first time the pupils of Yerevan school have had a tour in the USA. I hope that talented children will go on their mission as ambassadors of culture», said His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderyan.
The pupils of the music school after Armen Tigranyan also took part in the charity concerts the profits from which will be sent to the children living in Armenia who need medical aid. A part of the profits will be given to the families of the servicemen fallen at the front line this April. The music school, its headmaster and pupils were awarded with the honorary diplomas of the Governor of California.
