“Little Singers of Armenia” choir, which among best children’s choirs worldwide, marks its 30th anniversary

The path “Little Singers of Armenia” choir have passed has 30 years’ history. The jubilee concert held under the patronage of Yerevan Municipality at “Aram Khachatryan” music hall united alumni of different years. The singers of the senior and junior groups performed on stage to tell about the activity of the choir.
A number of eminent musicians were present at the event to congratulate the “Little Singers of Armenia”: the Children’s Cappella of Tbilisi (Conductor-Gela Parchukidze), conductors Mario Fontana (Switzerland), Alfonsas Vildzunas (Lithuania) and bandoneon player Mario Stefano Pietrodarki (Italy).
The “Little Singers of Armenia” headed by the RA Distinguished Art Figure, choirmaster Tigran Hekekyan have numerous concerts performances in Armenia and beyond. The choir has achieved 2 gold medals, 4 silver medals in international contests, participated in many prestigious festivals: in 2001 it was awarded with the honorary title “Culture Ambassador of Europe”, and in 2002 it was recognized the best children’s choir by the International Federation of Choral Music.
