Working Meeting on Winter Preparations
Advisor to the Mayor of Yerevan, Kamo Areyan, held a working meeting with the heads of Yerevan’s administrative districts and the staff of relevant municipal departments to coordinate winter preparations in the capital.
Most of the city’s multifunctional vehicles have already been repurposed for winter operations.
At the meeting, the importance of ensuring a targeted and uninterrupted distribution of salt-and-sand mixtures from central distribution stations to the administrative districts was highlighted.
To ensure citizens’ safety, special instructions were issued for the proper removal of ice from sidewalks, aboveground and underground pedestrian crossings, stairs, and curb ramps, as well as for the removal of icicles from bridge structures.
Businesses were reminded of their obligations under the regulations set by the Yerevan Council of Elders, which require them to maintain and improve adjacent public-use areas.
According to the decision, business owners are required not only to remove daily snowfall but also to clear asphalt and concrete sidewalks of snow and ice immediately after the snow stops.
