Avan team is the winner of volleyball tournament in citywide yard competition “Healthy generation-protected homeland”
Within the frames of “Yerevan summer 2015” three-month program of Yerevan Municipality the citywide yard festival “Healthy generation-protected homeland” is going on in 7 kinds of sport.
Before the city stage, the teams of 12 administrative districts competed to choose the best ones. In such tournaments a team may include both boys and girls. On July 6 the volleyball winners were recognized. The third place was occupied by the team of Ajapnyak district, the second prize was won by the team of Malatia-Sebastia district and the winner was the team of Avan district. Yerevan Mayor’s Advisor HrachyaMuradyan handed the medals to Avan team. The volleyball teams of MalatiaSebastia and Ajapnyak also got diplomas and balls. On July 7, basketball tournament starts. The aim of such events is to spread the healthy lifestyle among teenagers and young people. The participants outstood with special abilities will be admitted to sport schools of the capital. The team of the administrative district won in total account will be awarded with the challenge cup of Yerevan Mayor.
