Renovation of Kindergarten No. 105 Is Nearing Completion

26.08.2025

The renovation of Kindergarten No. 105 in Yerevan is nearing completion. Upon completion of the project, the kindergarten will be able to accommodate up to 220 children, twice its previous capacity of 110. As part of the renovation, additional group rooms have been constructed, allowing the formation of eight groups instead of the previous four. This expansion and more efficient use of space are common features of major kindergarten renovation projects across the city, enabling a significantly higher number of children to be enrolled.
Construction began in 2023, during which several shortcomings were identified in the renovation work at Kindergarten No. 105. As a result, the Yerevan Municipality declined to accept the work. The contractor is now required to resolve these issues, and the work is currently underway.
The project also includes the renovation of the kindergarten’s yard. However, this work will commence only after a longstanding issue related to a sewer pipe running through the site is resolved. The sewage system serving the surrounding residential buildings passes through the kindergarten’s territory. Due to its current state of deterioration, it has become a serious concern.
Given the urgency of the issue and the importance of reopening the kindergarten, the Yerevan Municipality has initiated not only the relocation of the sewer line but also the complete replacement of the outdated sewage system serving 15 nearby apartment buildings.
It is worth noting that the Yerevan Municipality will allocate full payment to the company responsible for the renovation of Kindergarten No. 105 only after the final work has been completed and formally approved.
