Since April 1, no zero tax reference has been needed in the process of buying and selling vehicles, and since July 4, the same is with real estate procurement. During the regular working meeting the Mayor was reported that the RA Police, the Cadaster Committee as well as notary offices get the data from the unified database of vehicle ad real estate tax in an electronic mode. This attitude is applied throughout Armenia.

“In 2021 about 100 thousand citizens had to get into paperwork to get their zero reference. This system makes it possible to check the data on the spot, to pay obligations if any and to make the transaction. This is certainly the result of the consistent teamwork and joint discussions: besides our team there were also involved the RA Government, the Cadaster Committee, “VX Soft” and “BEST SOFT” companies. Step by step we will be able to simplify many services via digitalization”, stressed the Mayor.

The process of welding garbage chutes in the blocks of flats has been over. 3690 chutes have been closed.

New trash containers will be installed at bus stops and other areas. It was reported that in a few days the competition for procurement of up to 1000 containers will be announced.

The total number of elevators to be replaced with new ones in Yerevan in 2022 is 426. Currently, the activities are going on at 134 locations.

It frequently happens that the companies providing utility services don’t maintain proper sanitary conditions while carrying out recovery and repairing activities. The heads of administrative districts are assigned to set rigid control over the process to exclude such cases.

Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan expressed discontent with the process of road marking and instructed to send the painting materials used in the process to the lab to check the quality.

To extinguish the fires appeared in the city rapidly and to reduce their consequences in 2021 the community initiated the process of construction of new hydrants and renovation of old ones. Accordingly, 39 hydrants have been replaced and about 200 will be brought to order this year.

Accordingly, economy entities are obliged to tile the sidewalks, to landscape and green the adjacent areas, to keep them clean. Loud music after 23:00 in the city cafes cause the population’s discontent. The control over such occurrences is delegated to the RA Health and Labour Inspection. Touching upon the problem Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan instructed to take actions to regulate the sphere and to keep it under permanent supervision and if necessary to initiate legislative changes.

New programs will be implemented within the scope of the collaboration established between Yerevan and French partner cities. Summarizing the results of the visit Mayor Sargsyan informed that in accordance with the arrangement made with his Paris colleague, the museums of modern art of Yerevan and Paris will have mutual exhibitions. Youth centres where French will be taught as well will be set up in the libraries of Yerevan.

The areas of closed mines in Yerevan will be greened and landscaped. It was arranged with the President of Ile-de-France Regional Council to change these areas in teamwork and to apply successful experience of Ile-de-France in Yerevan.

Yerevan is going to use the successful experience of Lyon in fighting against vermin. No chemical is used against pests in European cities any more. They use only natural methods of struggling against vermin.

Joint programs with the partners from France will be implemented in the area of Erebuni and Karmir Blur archaeological sites. In particular, the activities are going to be carried out to restore manufacture of special bricks of the Urartian period, to preserve monuments, to reevaluate the ancient findings.

In teamwork with the RA Government certain steps are undertaken to develop the French-Armenian Vocational Educational Centre and to allot it a new building. The French party expressed willingness to make an investment of 8 million euro.
