Yerevan Mayor participated in the event dedicated to the memory of Ishkhan Mkrtchyan
The open Republican Championship of Armenia of “National Association of Traditional Karate-Do “Futoshin” dedicated to the memory of the member of the National Unified Party Ishkhan Mkrtchyan was held in the sport school of wrestling “Hayastan”. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the Member of Parliament Ashot Aghababyan, former members of the party, friends and relatives of Ishkhan Mkrtchyan were present at the event. The sportsmen of the association as well as the pupils of the military and sport college after Monte Melkonyan demonstrated their skills. The president of “National Association of Traditional Karate-Do “Futoshin” Sergey Khachatryan stressed the personal contribution of Yerevan Mayor in the issue of development and promotion of this sport and awarded the Mayor the thanksgiving diploma of the association. 140 young people aged 5-25 took part in this championship which is held twice a year. The winners were awarded with medals and the champion’s cup.
