Yerevan Zoo is open
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan accompanied by the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism Ruben Hovhannisyan and the director of the zoo Ruben Khachatryan visited Yerevan Zoo and took part in the actions organized on the event of opening the regular season.
It should be noted that in 2013-2015 within the programs of Yerevan Municipality the first stage of modernization of the infrastructures was implemented; the territory of the park was expanded, the conditions of animal keeping were significantly improved. By the way, last night two new inhabitants were born at the zoo- an Armenian mouflon cub and a foal.
By the end of the year it is planned to carry out the second stage of the program of the zoo improvement.
The director of the zoo Ruben Khachatryan noted that all the work related to the zoo is at the focus of Yerevan Municipality and personally Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan.
From May 1 the zoo will be open till 9 pm. For children from frontier districts entrance is free throughout the year.
